What do you think? Does it need some work? Nobody tell Geoff!

  1. Um, it kind of reminds me of Baskin-Robbins. Or peppermint.

  2. Maybe the brown should be a little darker?

  3. I just think you need to go farther. I mean, this is pretty good, but it could easily be so much more dramatic!

  4. Is there any kind of software that would allow me to do paint splatters? You know, the kind everyone had on their clothes in the 80s? Don’t you think that would be awesome here on the blog? I’m thinking lime green.

  5. Love the lilac-y pink. What happened to the Robin’s Egg?

In the 70’s our bathroom was bright lime green and turquoise.

  6. Just working out the kinks. I think this combination is good.

  7. Easy on the changes. I’m trying to understand what G has to say about Signs and Tokens and the colors are changing on me or is it just way past my bed time?

  8. This color scheme sets off your MA banner very well. You should suggest that J. implement it at LDSblogs.org!

  9. I like the pink.

Now you need to start talking about boobs to keep up with the rest of the girly blogs. (Your bra post was on the right track!)

  10. The new banner color reminds me of “The Poop Chronicles” from FMH. Other than that…

  11. I like this, although I’d go a bit deeper on the brown, and less purple in the pink.

Can’t wait to see what he thinks. Hee!

  12. Yug.

  13. Is it gone? I still see the old New Thang.

  14. Egads. Now it’s changed. The pinky lavendar isn’t all bad, but the brown is too warm and too light with it. It needs to be darker, with less yellow and more pink in it. Or the lavendar could warm up to a peachy pink. But something needs to change, unless the sole intent is to scare Geoff.

  15. Very nice!

Hit refresh on your browser, Allison, and if that doesn’t do it, hit it again with the shift key held down.

  16. …of course, it could be that it looks different on my screen. That happened at Begging to Differ when I was helping rework the color scheme — on my computer, we had a nice inoffensive custardy color, but some other people were getting a bright salmon.

  17. Susan, I’m still getting purply pink and orangy brown.

  18. Luuuuuuucccyyyyy!!

  19. Kristen, I get a FMH feel here. I like the idea of the brown and blue better. And yes, i am suddenly craving ice cream!

There’s this really cool tool on the web to help with colors. I use it all the time: http://wellstyled.com/tools/colorscheme/index-en.html

  20. The type needs more space to “breathe.” Make the whole box brown, not a smaller brown box surrounded by a blue “boarder.”

And scoot “How do you like me now…” more to the left.

  21. Nevermind about my color recommendations. (I needed to refresh my browser.)

The type still needs to scoot closer to the title.

  22. This looks great! I think green splotches could only make it better, though, and maybe some monkeys or something.

    Comment by C Jones — January 20, 2006 @ 3:14 pm

  23. No, No, No. What you need to do is make it all white.

    Comment by John C. — January 20, 2006 @ 4:12 pm

  24. hey, I like the monkeys idea! Forget the neon green splotches, I’ll make neon green monkeys!

    Comment by Kristen J — January 20, 2006 @ 7:03 pm

  25. I think the banner would be better if the text read, “How you like me now?” That grammatically necessary but oh-so-unhip “do” has just got to go!

And I think the paint splatters are a good idea.

    Comment by RoastedTomatoes — January 20, 2006 @ 7:46 pm

  26. That is too true

    Comment by Kristen J — January 20, 2006 @ 9:54 pm

  27. I vote for a background of monkeys and peaches.

    Comment by Kaimi — January 20, 2006 @ 10:13 pm

  28. Not just any monkeys, but Kleptomaniac-peach-obsessed monkeys.

    Teehee.
