The Last Days Rock!
Man I love living now! I got an iPod for my birthday and I got it up and running tonight. It is about the coolest thing ever. (I’m listening to it as I right this post… It’s currently a song off the new Killers album that Kristen just bought if you are interested… I dig it… BTW — Did you know the lead singer of that band is Mormon?…) My new iPod is just one of hundreds or even thousands of reasons why these latter days rule.
I have tons of things I love about now. I live in Arizona now and despite the 100+ degree daytime temperatures outside I remain quite comfortable in my air conditioned house. Our family went swimming today in a comfortable modern pool with clean water. I have comfortable and air conditioned cars. I have a computer that lets me meet and talk with really cool people all over the world like ya’ll.
And did I mention that while I type away tonight I get to rock out quietly to hundreds of great songs on a tiny device? It’s really good to be here now.
The last days rock.
Very cool. If there is one thing why the last days rock it is the iPod. I have had mine about a year, and I never leave home without it. Rock on man!

Great stuff Geoff. What size iPod?
I hope that you will pay strict heed to Playlist Thunderdome in making song choices…

Geoff,
Have you ever listened to books on your iPod? I subscribe to a website called http://www.audible.com. There you pay a monthly fee and choose another book each month to listen to. It’s priceless to be able to listen to books on the run.

You earned the right to use the ipod in these last days since you were more righteous than everybody else who came before you in the preexistence, right? ;-)

I’d have to agree, iPods are the bomb. I’ve had mine for a couple years now, and I don’t know how I lived without it. I even got work to pay for it, under the guise of an “external portable hard drive” (it can actually be used in that way).
It’s also nice to know adult Mormons can listen to and play rock music.

Rock on I shall, Dallas (A Curtis Mayfield tune is on as I type…)
They call it the iPod mini… 4GB I think, Steve. I’m hoping I don’t fill this thing up too fast!
Nice link Craig. Someone over at Splendid Sun linked to this site as well for Mormon scriptures and books.

I bought the U2 special edition iPod a few months ago– I love it! I wonder if it actually plays ‘other’ music? ;-)

Jeff: Yep. I earned it along with a billion or two other folks I guess…;-)
Christian: I got mine from a business partner so he probably wrote it off as a company expense too…
Brian: Oh yeah, they play more, though I have some U2 on mine as well.

You’re kidding–the lead singer of The Killers is LDS? My wife and I love that album: Duran Duran for the new millennium. She’s probably listening to it on her iPod killer right now (sorry).
Oh, and I covet your iPod.
